We all love holiday music, right? And while the old standbys are great (we’re looking at you, Nat King Cole), isn’t it about time for a fresh take? “A Very Ohio Christmas,” presented by Donewaiting and Each Note Secure, collects 16 new holiday tracks by Ohio bands including Super Desserts, The Celebrity Pilots, Moviola and The Guitars. Nestled between some recognizable favorites and semi-obscure classics is this season’s best new holiday original: “All I Want for Christmas (is an Afghan Whigs Reunion)” by Columbus band, Bicentennial Bear.

Perhaps the best thing about “A Very Ohio Christmas” is that 100% of the proceeds will go to Gracehaven, an Ohio-based charity that raises awareness about the issue of domestic minor sex trafficking and seeks to provide shelter and rehabilitation for its victims. “A Very Ohio Christmas” is available as a digital download for a $10 donation at: www.ohiochristmas.bandcamp.com.
