Groove-metal icons Clutch will be in Cincinnati next week, appearing for a live show at Bogart’s on Thursday, Dec. 30. Best known for their influential self-titled album, the Maryland-based hard rock trio has released more than nine studio albums since forming in 1990 including “Transnational Speedway League,” “The Elephant Riders” and “Pure Rock Fury.” Band members Neil Fallon (vocals), Tim Sult (guitar), Dan Maines (bass) and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums) have experimented with many different sounds over the years, ranging from punk rock to hardcore, metal, and a psychedelic mix of heavy jazz and blues on their latest studio album “Strange Cousins from the West.” All four also play in the band’s popular instrumental side project, The Bakerton Group. The Dec. 30 show at Bogart’s starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $32.56 online through www.livenation.com. More information can be found on the band’s web site at  www.pro-rock.com or at  www.livenation.com.
