Blame US hackers for increase in internet trolls

By Mark Luedtke

The internet is a cesspool. Every day we read another hacking story thanks to the U.S. spy agencies and their allies undermining security all across the network.

We’re also bombarded daily with stories of Russian hackers. They’re one of our rulers’ new boogiemen. Their supposed hacking of the U.S. election, still claimed with no evidence, is the most obvious story. David Stockman explains U.S. government hackers, not Russian hackers, threaten America:

“For example, in the National Security Agency (NSA) there is a subsidiary entity called TAO (Targeted Access Operations) with a budget of several billions and more than 1,000 employees. The latter predominately consist of high-powered civilian and military hackers, computer geeks, intelligence analysts, targeting specialists, computer hardware and software designers, and electrical engineers – whose job it is to do exactly what Russia is being accused of.

“Namely, to hack and electronically infiltrate the communications and operations of nearly every government on the planet, and most especially those of IC designated enemies and adversaries such as Russia and Iran. Indeed, TAO’s motto says it all: ‘Your data is our data, your equipment is our equipment—any time, any place, by any legal means.’

“In any given 24-hour day, the TAO hacks and deposits more disinformation and malware into its targeted foreign networks than all the low level Russian probes that were intercepted by NSA during the entire presidential campaign.”

Much like the U.S. spends more on its military than the next eight governments combined, it spends similarly more on hackers. The Russian hacking story is a smokescreen to cover up the far more dangerous and ubiquitous hacking done by U.S. spies. U.S. hackers can also masquerade as foreign, including Russian, hackers.

If you think Congressional oversight keeps spy agencies in check, Stockman points out only eight representatives really oversee them: “On the inside of the Surveillance State wall, by contrast, there are 600,000 employees or contractors with ‘top secret’ security clearances alone; and more than 4 million total operatives who spend night and day feasting on the $75 billion Intelligence Community (IC) budget and carrying out projects and missions designed to justify their existence and keep the budgetary gravy train flowing.”

Stockman summarizes the threat U.S. spies pose: “So what this new chapter in McCarthyite hysteria actually demonstrates is that the Imperial City’s far-flung, 17-agency, $75 billion Intelligence Behemoth is a plenary threat not just to individual liberty, but to the very constitutional democracy on which the latter depends,” he writes.

But U.S. spies don’t stop there. They flood the internet with trolls. Trolls attack people if they’re not politically correct or if they promote ideas or stories that contradict the establishment agenda. Anti-Trump trolls are the most obvious right now.

It’s long been known U.S. intelligence agencies are the primary promoter of trolls on the internet. The Intercept recently backed that up with a leaked U.S. government document titled “The Art of Deception: Training for a New Generation of Online Covert Operations.” The document is a slide presentation for teaching trolls how to effectively promote fake news online.

The document calls these trolls cyber-magicians. It encourages trolls to “hide the real” and “show the false” by masking, repackaging, dazzling, mimicking, inventing, and decoying. Its target programs include email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, web pages, and, not surprisingly, the news media. Government trolls create fake news online then source it to the mainstream media, which present it as actual news.

Government use of trolls explains why so many posts by trolls on social media come from so few accounts. The next time you, a family member, or child is attacked by trolls online, remember your tax dollars are probably paying those trolls.

Ben Franklin wrote, “A nation of well informed men who have been taught to know and prize the rights which God has given them cannot be enslaved. It is in the region of ignorance that tyranny begins.” The last thing U.S. rulers want is a well-informed population, and they use government schools then spies to keep Americans ignorant.

Population control through fake news is the latest tool in our rulers’ tool chest. You can’t believe anything you read from the mainstream media. At best, they will only present the part of the story that serves our rulers. We’re paying people to lie to us about everything.
