Michigan-based rockers Pop Evil will visit Dayton this week, headlining a special show with opening acts 8KOunt and Vi Folly at McGuffy’s House of Rock on Saturday, Jan. 15. Featuring a sound reminiscent of Creed, Puddle of Mud and Three Doors Down, the band first gained national attention in 2008 with the release of their debut album “Lipstick on the Mirror,” recorded by well-known Kid Rock producer Al Sutton. Since then, the group has scored radio hits with the songs “Last Man Standing” and “100 in a 55,” and toured extensively with artists ranging from Theory of a Deadman to Tesla, Whitesnake and Judas Priest. Saturday’s show at McGuffy’s is 18 + up; doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 the day of the show.
