If Chuck Barris had hosted The Gong Show while tripping on laced acid, the fabled variety show may have resembled something like A Dirty Little Secret, the ongoing series of debauched vaudeville performances that will certainly make your mother blush (unless she’s freaky). Conceived and orchestrated by local rabble-rouser and DCP contributor J.T. Ryder, the latest Dirty Little Secret — the Sensual Fascination Show — will be teasingly revealed Saturday, September 17 at J-Alans. What can you expect? Even Ryder doesn’t know. “I don’t like to dictate to the performers what they should or shouldn’t do,” he said. “I like for the show to develop organically. People always ask me what to expect and I have to tell them honestly, ‘Hell, I’m truly curious to see what happens.’” Here’s what we do know — the show’s headliners ensure this will be a memorable evening of hedonistic entertainment, featuring the comedic stylings of Travis Clyburn and Dave “Roundy” Kessler, surf rockers Team Void, magician/illusionist William Drave and burlesque queens Miss Theresa and Cherry La Voix. Come get naughty! J-Alans, 121 N. Ludlow St., doors at 8 p.m., show at 9 p.m. and tickets are $7. For more information, call (937) 520-3303.
