Funk legends George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic will appear at L.C. Pavilion in Columbus on Thursday, December 9, performing as part of a special holiday party sponsored by Columbus radio station Magic 98.9.

Best known for funk hits like “Flashlight,” “Atomic Dog” and “Loopzilla,” Clinton has released more than 50 albums since starting his career as a doo wop artist with the Parliaments in the 1960s. A former Motown Records staff-songwriter, he is also one of the most highly sampled artists in history and his classic funk riffs have been borrowed by groups ranging from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, to Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.

Tickets for the December 9 show at L.C. Pavilion are $29 in advance or $32 the day of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. More information can be found online at  www.georgeclinton.com or  ”http://www.promowestlive.com
