Peotry – Graying Light

Graying Light

My senses chase a graying light,

As grains of memory slip through the fingertips

Of the hourglass of my brain.

My world turns and slips to night,

For memories dissolve like slow departing ships

On a salty sea of ebbing pain.

But through this world of dimming sight

Where tears and joys evaporate with time’s eclipse,

I find your beautiful eyes remain.
