McGuffy’s House of Rock presents rising artist Ryan Star Thursday, November 4. Star, a native of Long Island, New York, is a singer/songwriter who has increased his popularity thanks to the hit single “Breathe” from his recently released CD 11:59. Star particularly gained notice in 2006 as a formidable contestant on the CBS reality show Rock Star: Supernova. He didn’t win the competition, but his performances drew praise from judges nonetheless, which ultimately jump-started his career. He has also opened for American Idol winner David Cook. Days Difference and Hope and State Your Cause will join Star for his McGuffy’s appearance, which is an all ages event.
